Victorian Population Health Survey
The data in the reporting module is based on the data collected through the Victorian Population Health Survey
(VPHS) 2008, 2011-12, 2014 and 2017. The VPHS is an important component of the population health surveillance capacity of the Department
of Health and Human Services.
The VPHS has been conducted each year since 2001, and previously was based on a sample of approximate 7500 adults
aged 18 years and over, randomly selected from households in the state. In 2008, and again in 2011-12,2014 and 2017, the sample was
expanded to approximately 34,000 to enable analysis at the local government area (LGA) level. The VPHS is an ongoing
source of high quality information on the health and wellbeing of Victorian adults. Further information about the VPHS,
methods, and previous survey reports can be found on
Health Status of Victorians website.
Victorian Population Health Survey interactive reports This reporting module is an interactive website displaying health and wellbeing indicators from
the VPHS 2008, 2011-12, 2014 and 2017, where the user can select from a range of options to produce tailored
data tables and export them as required.
